Item description

1950's vintage Volkswagen bus in red with a light gray (definitely not white, more like a light grayish-tan color) top, made of plastic. Measures 1 15/16" long X 13/16" wide.which is 1:87 HO scale or very close to it. No chips or cracks., the top may have some very light scuffing but retains a nice shine Marked on base "Made in Germany" and a logo that looks like a WW (with one of the w's upside down). I have been told by a few people that the beetle versions(I also have several of those listed for sale) similar to this were given out at the dealerships in the 50's as a promotional item. I also came across a pair of beetles that had sold online that included a written letter from the original owner that stated the same thing but dated it to 1956 specifically.
