Most versatile of all the Astilbes! Fantastic SHADE TOLERANT flowers for a ground cover, pots, or a huge shade border statement. Trouble free perennial used for cut flowers fresh or for drying. Without cutting and left with the seeds are a unique interesting look. Likes moist soils, but is more tolerant of a temporary drought than any other Astilbe, and can take the heat. I love this flower's many benefits including almost no maintenance, and deer and rabbit resistant. Not many shade plants look this bright for a full shade plant. The foliage is compact upright, and is topped with rosy-lilac plumes.
