Item description

A THOUSAND WAYS TO PLEASE A FAMILY by Louise Bennett Weaver Helen Cowles LeCron ?A. L. Burt Company, 1922 Condition: Good This was the second title in the "Bettina's Best Recipes" series of the 1920s. Many many short recipes intended for a family of four or more. There is some fiction-like text at the start of each chapter and some illustrations. 397 pages. The book is well-used, but still very useful. Slits at the hinges, but all the pages are intact. The covers are mostly darkened, but otherwise in decent shape. There is writing and scribbling, mostly at the front and back, and some creases and staining on pages. No dust jacket. Still, I found no copies of this (first?) edition on Bookfinder or Amazon, so it's apparently rare in hardback.
