Item description
Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1950's crime drama, THE SCARFACE MOB, originally made for broadcast on television in 1959 and produced by Desilu Productions Inc. This is the story of how a group of incorruptible federal lawmen helped
put 1920s' Chicago gangster Al Capone in prison.
The image features an interior medium shot of Elliot Ness (Robert Stack) with Betty Anderson (Pat Crowley) in period attire. This feature film was originally made in 1959 to be broadcast on television and was released theatrically as a feature film in 1962. This photograph is from the original 1962 US theatrical release of this television film and is in very fine- condition with a few small creases on the top left corner and one set of staple holes in the film's title at the bottom. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and great contrast.
This was originally a two-part presentation on the Westinghouse
Desilu Playhouse under the title of simply The Untouchables, the
title given to the subsequent television series. Abel Fernandez's character was based on William Jennings
Gardner, a real-life Native American member of Elliot Ness'
"Untouchables."
