Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the 1950's germ warfare-themed thriller drama, NO PLACE TO HIDE, released in 1955 by Allied Artists and directed by Josef Shaftel. A scientist, his wife, and their young son come to the Phillipines so that the man can continue his germ-warfare studies for the army in uninhabited area. The boy and a playmate come into possession of some of the pellets developed by the scientist which can kill off the citizens of a large city if they are broken. Armed forces and the police are seeking the boys who, thinking they face punishment and the loss of a pet, continue to elude them. And they have already lost one of the death-filled pellets in the city. The cast includes David Brian, Marsha Hunt, Hugh Corcoran, Ike Jarlego Jr., and Candy the Wonder Dog. Billed as "A New Secret Terror Threatens the Human Race," the design features both artwork that depicts the deadly germ-warfare pellets inside of a test tube as well as photographic images of troops and doctors being mobilized. This is a very relevant topic in today's world and the poster states that "Science Had Warned: From This New Thing in a Laboratory Vial There Will Be No Escape!" Unrestored and folded as originally issued, it is in good condition with random separation at the three center crossfolds; light signs of wear and creases in the borders; random light surface rippling; some white discoloration near Marsha Hunt's mouth; and an extra foldline. The color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
