Gerard Fitremann (1946-2007, also known as 'Fitro') was most known for his surrealist portraits and landscapes. In 1970 Fitremann abandoned his role as a master printer to concentrate exclusively on his own distinctive art work, it was clear to art critics and dealers that a potentially large talent was rising on the art horizon. Steadily creating a large body of work -- etchings, watercolors and paintings -- in Paris, Fitremann's reputation began to take hold and his art quickly appeared and was sold first in galleries and then in the international art fairs.
