Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the sci-fi action/adventure film, BATTLEFIELD EARTH, released in 2000 by Warner Bros. and directed by Roger Christian. Based upon the novel by L. Ron Hubbard, after enslavement and near extermination by an alien race in the year 3000, humanity begins to fight back. The image features an exterior medium shot of Terl (John Travolta), the seductive and powerful leader of the Psychols, a greedy and manipulative race out to enslave humanity, as he points a weapon at a character off-camera. The film's handsome long-haired young hero, Jonnie Goodboy Tyler (Barry Pepper), watches with alarm at the right as another human (Tim Post) watches. This lobby card was inscribed in black ballpoint pen by the film's director, Roger Christian, inside the left background area (Best wishes - Brad - thank you - Roger Christian). It looks like the director was initially going to place his inscription in the bottom border, as he wrote "Best wishes, but then decided to place his inscription elsewhere. Printed for the film's original 2000 theatrical release, this vintage original lobby card is unrestored and in very fine+ condition without any pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
