Vintage original 8 x 10 in. single-weight glossy photograph from the British 1940s drama/romance thriller, THE ADVENTURES OF TARTU, released in 1943 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Harold S. Bucquet.
The image depicts an interior shot inside of a soundstage at Islington Studios in England. Star Robert Donat, in uniform, is to the right of director Harold S. Bucquet. Left to right: Bill Dodds (Assistant Director); Ho Harcourt (Script Clerk); William McLeod (Cameraman); Jack Cox (Cameraman); Robert Donat; and Terry Hunt (Assistant Cameraman). On the verso is the original printed caption which describes the image. It is in very fine condition as shown.

The Adventures of Tartu (alternate British title and American release title: Sabotage Agent, also known as Tartu) is a 1943 British Second World War spy film directed by Harold S. Bucquet and starring Robert Donat. It was a morale booster of the era portraying Nazis as highly corruptible due to their desire to seduce women and to gain personal advancement.
