I've been playing Magic the Gathering for almost 10 years and buying bundles is a great way to be able to open a few packs of the set and get a few great extras along the way. A few changes in the bundle versus previous sets:
- Oversized spindown counter vs. standard D20 size. I like the larger size spindowns and the colors look great together.
- Alternate art foil Piper of the Swarm. Promo cards haven't been included before, so it's nice to get a foil rare, especially with alternate art.
- 20 foil basic lands/20 non-foil basic lands. This is different than prior bundles as we previously would only would receive non-foil basics. This is a nice extra and is something that I'll actually use instead of tossing the land packs into a box to collect dust.
- No longer includes set guide booklet. I have to admit that I kind of miss this, but with everything else you get that actually can be used for gameplay, I can understand not including the guide any longer.
Overall, this is a great way to get some cards from a particular set without having to shell out $90 to $100 for a booster box. The value is even greater if you can get a bundle for less than the $40-$45 MSRP.
