The quality of the joystick is excellent. However it is for the directional pad only. There is no analog joystick. Much like the nes/snes advantage, the buttons are of like quality and the joystick self-centers. But for any game that requires the analog joystick, this will not work. Overall I'd say 7 out of 10 for a gamecube joystick.
