Turbo tax is the standard, and i bought it and did my taxes and it, and on credit karma. they were the same. i love (free) credit karma, and free fed and state tax calculations and filing. I’ll plann tofile with credit karma again next year. I m not sure i’ll bother with turbo tax.

Yes, it will import data like W-2's, but there are not many companies participating. Out of about 10 that I needed to enter, I was able to import 3. If I could have done all 10, I would have given the software 5 stars. Also, there were a lot of times when the software would refer me to my tax document's help page, the IRS site, or my financial company because it didn't know what to do. Also, the explanation of terms was lacking in many cases. All-in-all, it was easy to use after a bit of adjustment, It is no better or worse than its leading competitor.
