The tool chest is the perfect size for the limited amount of basic tools that I own. The drawers hold just enough space for a good set of sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers set into cut out foam. The top hatch is best for large items like hammers and clamps that you won't care about rattling around.
My one concern is the longevity of the system that secures the drawers when the top hatch is down. As it stands, there seems to be snagging tendancy that I have been unable to identify. This could become extremely problematic if it progresses.
Also, this is a portable chest and not a toolbox. Take this fact into consideration when determining your weight tolerance. This chest will have you leaning when hauling.

I would recommend this item for a basic tool set.
