I don't think this is the original casio brand, but it is equal to or better than the original. The last casio brand I purchased was either old or defective in some other way. The red ink was extremely pale and over all did not last very long at all. This roller is excellent.
Ribbons are perfect replacement ribbon for calculators. The ink is not dried out but doesn't smudge on the calculator paper though. Each ribbon is individually packaged in cellophane so they will stay nice for longer periods of time. The ribbons appear to last a very long time. We use calculators all day running long columns of numbers. The ink is very easy to see on the calculator tape. Would highly recommend.
This has all the functions my granddaughter needs and as it's pink, it won't get mixed up with her brother's.
