Vintage original 6 x 9 in. US herald from the classic 1940's Arabian Nights-themed fantasy adventure romance, THE THIEF OF BAGDAD, released in 1940 by United Artists and directed by Alexander Korda. After being tricked and cast out of Bagdad by the evil Jaffar (Conrad Veidt), King Ahmad (John Justin) joins forces with a thief named Abu (Sabu) to reclaim his throne, the city, and the Princess (June Duprez he loves. The cast includes Rex Ingram and Mary Morris.
This large herald was issued for distribution at the famous Loew's State theater in New York City. It is in fine+ condition with three light horizontal folds and some very small and unobtrusive creases from handling over time. There are no tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.
