Item description
Brand new factory sealed dvd has never been released in any other format and it too is now Out Of Print (OOP) making this an instant collector's item. The tale of Giacomo Solaris (Nero), a film director whose latest opus portrays a corrupt, bribe-happy judge who dies under the guns of mobsters. The real-life inspiration for the story, Judge Traini (Marco Guglielmi), learns of the movie and, at the insistence of his deeply-offended aide, has the filmmaker over for a dinner party. The meeting is far less polite than planned, however, with the two men squaring off, and various legal injunctions threatened.
Unfortunately the judge turns up dead the next day, mirroring the finale of Giacomo's film. Though the Mafia seems to be the obvious culprit and the victim's wife (Fabian) fingers an incensed parking attendant, the director senes a much deeper and more sinister plot afoot and decides to investigate... Some cut footage is restored to the English track in Italian with subs, these scenes were never dubbed for the original English cut so prepare for a few aural disruptions. The movie stands as a testament of Italy's infamous decade of political violence.
