Product: Fix3 is a high strength, high quality architectural grade single component high modulus structural adhesive and finishing silicone sealant. Fix8 with its neutral cure system exhibits excellent physical properties and primerless bonding capability to many substrates, Fix8 is suitable for typical sealing and structural bonding to glass, metals including aluminium, Corian, most plastics including PVC, foams, materials, wood including teak, fibreglass, epoxy coatings, gel coats, rubber, mirrors etc.. Fix8 displays excellent weatherability and UV resistance curing to a high performance flexible rubber sealant for weatherproofing and structural applications. Fix8 is suitable for glass curtain wall construction. Be sure to thoroughly clean any surrounding surfaces that are to be painted with a good industrial alcohol cleaner to remove any contaminants that may cause “Fish Eye”!. Test surfaces before painting. Applications: Suitable for bonding, sealing and finishing within the marine, road transport including coaches, caravans, trailers, and construction industry for structural composites, glass framed and non framed windows, some acrylic windows, mirrors, floor and wall panels, fittings and fixtures, bathrooms, Flexiteek bonding, rubber seals, foams, and many other applications. Shelf life: 12 months from date of production; In unopened packaging stored in a cool and dry place a t temperatures between +5C and +23. State of substrate surfaces: To be made clean, dry, free of dust, grease and any loose particles. Porous surfaces: For some porous substrates Fixseal may be applied or a good quality 1:1 ratio epoxy sealer. Timber porous surfaces can be precleaned with acetone (wait till dry) before applying Fixseal if required. Non Porous surfaces: substrates may be pre cleaned with a good quality industrial alcohol; change cleaning cloths frequently whilst cleaning Polypropylene; Primer PR20 is recommend. Pre wipe down of all substrates with an industrial alcohol cleaner, abrade with a “Green or Red” scotch brite pad scourer abrade the surfaces , remove dust or debris and clean again with industrial alcohol then apply PR20. We recommend compatability tests before any application. Application: Method: Manual or pneumatic caulking gun Application temperature: +4C to +40C Clean up tools: Clean tools with industrial alcohol before curing, mechanical removal after curing Tooling: Mild diluted soapy solution with clean fresh water before skin formation.
