(11) Black White Detachable Postcards, ca. 1910 featuring scenes of Brest, France including views of the port, homes, city and landmarks. Published by FT. Divided back, unused. Condition: These are authentic postcards, not a copy or reproduction. The cover has some edge and corner wear, and spotting. The cards have light upper right corner wear, and a few have become detached from the single staple binding. Comments: Brest is a port city in Brittany, in northwestern France, bisected by the Penfeld river. Its known for its rich maritime history and naval base. At the mouth of the Penfeld, overlooking the harbor, is the National Navy Museum, housed in the medieval Chteau de Brest. Across the river stands Tour Tanguy, a medieval tower. To the northeast are the National Botanical Conservatory and the Ocanopolis aquarium.
