Tiger Lily work best in an organic well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. Mulch is recommended for Tiger Lily, to keep the roots cool in summer and to protect from freezing in the winter. Tiger Lily make excellent cut flowers because they are long -lasting but be sure if cutting Tiger Lily that you leave as much foliage as possible to store some energy for next year's bloom. Take off faded flower-heads after flowering, let the stem die off naturally and then remove it. The Tiger Lily bulbs may be left in the ground and will re-flower during the next flowering season.
