Item description
THE CARIBBEAN CRUISE by Harry L. Foster
Dodd, Mead Co., First Edition, 1928
Condition: Good
Here's a scarce find for travel book collectors. The author takes the reader on an island by island world tour of the West Indies, starting with the preliminaries, such as planning the trip (from the perspective of the 1920s). In addition, there are 21 photos and 14 maps. There are cruise ads at the back. The interior looks nice, except for lightly bumped corners, two short tears on the spine bottom, some fading to spine and a bit of cover spotting. Inside, the frontispiece and half of the first folding map are missing; the paper in the gutter at the title page, the comparative page at the back and, to a lesser extent, at page 118 are split; the binding is somewhat shaken but intact.
