LAUNCHING SOCIAL SECURITY: A CAPTURE- -RECORD
ACCOUNT, 1935-1937
by Charles McKinley Robert W. Frase
The University of Wisconsin Press, Stated First Printing, 1970
Condition: Very Good+ to Near Fine in Good+ dust jacket
The authors' systematic first-hand study in 1935 of the implementation of the New Deal's Social Security Act constitutes this rare chronicle of the organizational beginnings of America's most important social welfare program. The book is of great value to students of public administration, political science and history, as well as others interested in this subject. 519 pages. Minimal wear to the book, with a previous owner name on the front pastedown. The jacket has a rather long tear by the lower spine and some other lesser edge wear. This title appears to be out of print.
