It was designed by Linda Powell, and made and printed in the USA, 1978. Kit contains: 100% Persian wool yarns 100% cotton embroidery floss Design printed on 100% cotton fabric Step-by-step illustrated instructions The finished size is a 24 x 18 inch picture; or 28 x 22 inches, framed with mat as shown. The picture is of a cheery-looking scarecrow, protecting the fall harvest of corn, carrots, beets, and cabbage. He doesn't appear very scary though, as there is a bird perched on his arm, a mouse in his pocket, and a bunny rabbit eating a carrot nearby! :) Surrounding the vegetable garden is a white picket fence, with roses and hollyhocks and other flowers I don't recognize. This is a very colorful picture, with a great country atmosphere. The kit is not in the original packaging, and has been started. You will see in the photos provided, that a previous owner has started to embroider the scarecrow's hat and post. The needle that originally came with the kit is missing. The full instructions, stitch diagrams and embroidery chart are still here, and the printed fabric is clean. There are a few pinholes, where the previous crafter had the edges pinned back.
