Item description
Lessons In Tuberculosis For School Children Their Teachers and Their Parents is the full title of this educational booklet. 7th edition but is not dated.
There is an entire unincorporated city of TB patients and staff, called
Sanatorium, Texas, that came into existence due to the large number of
Texans with active TB in the early 20th century. More
formally known as the Texas State Tuberculosis Sanatorium, the city
sprang up in Tom Green County near San Angelo in 1911, and many, many
Texans lived and died there during the ensuing decades. This booklet was a free handout, written by Dr. John Potts, in an attempt to educate the public about this debilitating and deadly disease.
Booklet is in good condition for its age, binding and pages intact and no marks.
