The Door Stopper is an OEM replacement part for LG French door refrigerators. It braces securely against the magazine shelf sliders to prevent accidental full extension.
Located inside the top refrigerator compartment, this adjustable stopper mounts to shelf rail flanges along the inner walls. Its positioning helps maintain organized storage by limiting extension of inner shelves.
Causes of a bad stopper can include fraying or breakage of its retaining posts from repetitive shelf unloadings/reloadings over many years.
Symptoms of a bad stopper door include:
Magazine shelves unwilling to stop retracting fully or become unstable
Shelf contents at risk of falling due to unintentional full extensions
Gapping between shelves compromising proper refrigerator sealing
