Best known for its tableware and founded in the village of Nambe, New Mexico, a small town northwest of Santa Fe, Nambe?s award-winning designs date back to the early 1950's when the brand?s signature eight-metal alloy was developed. Since then, Nambe designs have received numerous accolades and have been displayed in or added to the permanent collections of 23 international museums. Its timeless beauty, artistic integrity, and uncompromising quality remains unchanged. Nambe's earliest and most beloved designs were the creation of the New Mexico sculptor Richard K. Thomas. He created the iconic Butterfly Bowl, which was unveiled shortly after the birth of the company in the early 1950s.
