Wooden Tasting Spoon & Serving Spoon and similar items

The French tasting spoon is designed to sample soups or gumbo without double dipping or dirtying all your spoons while tasting! The liquid is scooped up at the large end then when tilted back the liquid runs down the length of the spoon into the small end. Once it reaches the small end it is cooled and ready to taste. Designed and made by Wood Artist Paul Szewc of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The approximate Size is 11 1/4" long x 2-1/4" wide at spoon end and the handle thickness on this one is 3/4" but this will vary slightly due to hand sanding. The spoon is made from a solid piece hardwood there is no glue or stains used. It is treated with non-toxic mineral oil and beeswax. The ergonomically-correct handles are large to accommodate an easier grip of things which is also great for people with arthritis or larger hands - it just feels great! Wooden spoons are pan friendly and will not scratch your Teflon frying pans. An absolute must for your wooden utensil collection. All of our utensils are made with new wood. Reclaimed/recycled woods can be toxic and should never be used in food products such as cutting boards or utensils. Care: Simply wipe with damp soapy cloth. Do not let soak in water or put in dishwasher. Oil with mineral or cooking oil when wood feels dry. Note: The photo shown is a representation of the item. Variance occurs due to natural wood grain and shape can vary slightly because each item is hand-sanded. As wood is a natural living product it can be a little unruly; knots, streaking, other blemishes and flaws in the grain can occur during the natural growth of the tree.
