Item description
5 Bare Root Lady Fern Rhizomes - Hardy Shade Perennial Ferns for Zones 3-8
You are purchasing 5 bare root Lady Fern rhizomes. The Lady Fern is a perennial, native to the United States, that grows upright and can reach a height of 2-5 feet. Its bright green leaves have a delicate, lacy texture, with individual fronds measuring up to 1 foot wide and 3 feet long. The frond stalks range in color from green to purple or red. This fern is a wonderful addition to any moist, shaded garden and is easy to grow, spreading slowly through rhizomes. As a deciduous fern, it will shed its leaves with the first frost. Unlike other ferns, the Lady Fern can tolerate some sun and dry soil, but it thrives best in full to partial shade with moist soil. It also works well as a ground cover on the north or east side of buildings. Hardy in zones 3-8. We do not ship to HI, AK, and PR. Planting instructions are included with every order.
