This portrait art poster is of the famous Dutch artist, Vincent van Gogh. He was born March, 1853, in Zundert, Netherlands and although considered one of the greatest artists of his time, he only sold one painting in his lifetime - The Red Vineyard near Arles (The Vigne Rouge). His artistic career was extremely short. It lasted only 10 years from 1880 to 1890. But in 1888 Van Gogh settled in Provence, France, where he painted his now famous series of 'Sunflowers'.
