Item description
TO MY FATHER
by Charles Wertenbaker
New York: Farrar Rinehart, (1936).
First edition.
Limited edition of 1500 numbered copies, SIGNED by the author.
This is copy #455.
Publisher's dark blue cloth with black titles on an orange spine panel and an attractive front cover paper label, illustrated endpapers; in the dust jacket.
Creasing to the lower spine (from dropping), else a near fine bright copy; in a very good, illustrated dust jacket with light chipping to the spine ends, the spine is also age-toned, and nicking to the shelf edges.
Front flap price of $2.50.
This is Farrar Rinehart's third selection issued in The Discoverers series of limited signed first editions limited to a membership of 2500 customers.
A failed project by the publisher as we believe that only three selections were ever offered.
This is the story of three generations of the Chastain family of Virginia by the bestselling author of Peter The Drunk and BooJum.
