FAQ’s
?Can a name be added to a memorial cross?
Yes, a name can be added at an additional charge of $5.00 for the first 6 letters and .50 for each additional letter after 6. Just email me at [email protected] and I can help you personalize your memorial cross with the name of your loved one.
What material do you use to add a name?
I use craft foam and appliqué letters . I paint the letters to compliment the colors of the cross and then clear glaze them before attaching them to the cross. The name is applied vertically on the front of he cross.
Why not wood letters?
I have used wood letters in the past but have found they do not hold their color and fall off with too much moisture. Even with the paint and glaze the wood letters just don’t weather as well as the foam and appliqué.
Can a name be added to ribbon instead?
Due to the size of the crosses ribbon sashes end up covering the entire front of the cross and sag quickly, again with any moisture.
Can I get a discount for ordering more than one cross??
Yes, if you order 3 or more crosses the price per cross will be set at $16.00 per cross. SALE crosses are not included in the discount.
Why do you only ship USPS?
Since Floralmemorials offers free shipping I prefer to get the most for my dollar and USPS offers the best delivery service at the lowest cost. Tracking numbers are given for all shipments.
Can I return a cross?
No all sales are final.
What if never receive my cross?
Tracking numbers are used for all cross delivery and can be tracked as to delivery times and methods. Please let me know so I can replace your cross.
Can a cross be delivered to a cemetery?
Yes, but you will need to make arrangements for delivery with the cemetery.
Will I need a tool to place the cross?
The pointed end of each cross makes ground insertion easier. If you live in a very dry region you may want to bring a rubber mallet or small hammer.
How long do the crosses last?
Depending on the weather where you live they will stay in the ground for months. The flowers and ribbon can fade after a few months of direct sunlight.
It has been my personal experience that they are removed by the cemetery staff long before they ever begin to show wear. Please be sure to check the " rules" on flowers placed as it can vary greatly from cemetery to cemetery.
The crosses are all 18" H . Do you ever use other sizes?
When I first started making the crosses for my own loved ones I made them 12" tall and they just looked so very small in a vast cemetery. I have also made a few 24" crosses but I find them difficult to mail, although I still have a few for sale on my site.
