A collection of six romantic comedies. In '50 First Dates' (2004) Drew Barrymore stars as Lucy Whitmore, a beautiful woman suffering from acute short-term memory loss. After a car accident several months before, she has been left with a rare brain condition that causes her memory to be totally erased every night when she goes to sleep. Adam Sandler plays Henry Roth, a vet in the Hawaiian resort where Lucy is living a quiet life with her over-protective father (Blake Clark) and goofy brother (Sean Astin). After meeting Lucy, Henry realises he's found someone special, and resolves to give up his promiscuous, non-commital lifestyle. The only problem is, when he meets her again the next day, she hasn't got a clue who he is. In 'Along Came Polly' (2004) Reuben (Ben Stiller) is a risk assessor for an insurance company, and hates taking risks of any kind. But when his new bride runs off with the diving instructor on their honeymoon, he begins to wonder if his risk assessment is so accurate after all. On his return from his disastrous honeymoon, he runs into the beautiful, free-spirited Polly (Jennifer Aniston), an old acquaintance from junior high, at a party. But is he ready to put his feelings on the line, let himself go and have some fun with her? In 'The Break-up' (2006), when Brooke (Jennifer Aniston) breaks up with her insensitive boyfriend Gary (Vince Vaughn), neither of them is willing to move out of their apartment. As each of them takes advice from their friends, they decide to start using a series of mind games and strategies to try and force the other to leave, but before long they discover that they might just be fighting to keep their relationship alive. In 'Hitch' (2005) Alex 'Hitch' Hitchens (Will Smith) is a legendary - and deliberately anonymous - New York City 'date doctor' who, for a fee, has helped countless men woo the women of their dreams. While coaching Albert (Kevin James), a meek accountant who is smitten with a glamorous celebrity, Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta), Hitch finally meets his match in the person of the gorgeous, whip-smart Sara Melas (Eva Mendes), a gossip columnist who follows Allegra's every move. The ultimate professional bachelor, Hitch suddenly finds himself falling deliriously in love with Sara, a reporter whose biggest scoop could very well be the unmasking of Manhattan's most famous date doctor. In 'The Holiday' (2006) Iris (Kate Winslet) is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, Amanda (Cameron Diaz) realises the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women who have never met and live 6,000 miles apart, find themselves in the exact same place. They meet online at a home exchange website and impulsively switch homes for the holiday. Iris moves into Amanda's L.A. house in sunny California as Amanda arrives in the snow-covered English countryside. Shortly after arriving at their destinations, both women find the last thing either wants or expects: a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris's handsome brother, Graham (Jude Law), and Iris, with inspiration provided by legendary screenwriter Arthur (Eri Wallach), mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles (Jack Black). Finally, in 'My Best Friend's Wedding' (1997), Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) has just realised that she is in love with her best friend, Michael O'Neal (Dermot Mulroney), but there's a problem: Michael has recently announced his upcoming marriage to the hare-brained Kimmy (Cameron Diaz). Enlisting the help of her gay friend, George Downes (Rupert Everett), Julianne resolves to sabotage Michael's big day and win him back for herself. But when Kimmy turns out to be such a kind and likeable person, Julianne wonders if she's doing the right thing after all. Please note this DVD is region 2 and will only work in the following regions Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt) and Greenland, Unless you have a multi-regional DVD Player.
