'Speed 3' finds Dougal trapped on a milkfloat with a bomb in an episode strangely reminiscent of a disaster movie (could it be 'The Poseidon Adventure'? Ted is pretty sure that Gene Hackman plays a priest in it). Finally, in 'The Mainland', Ted and Dougal encounter Richard 'I don't believe it' Wilson when they take a trip to the mainland for the day.
