Item description
Enhance your garden with Dutch White Clover (Trifolium repens), a versatile and low-maintenance ground cover. This nitrogen-fixing plant improves soil fertility while providing a beautiful green carpet. It's an excellent lawn alternative that's drought-tolerant and attracts bees and other pollinators. Start your Dutch White Clover garden today with our high-quality seeds and free shipping!
These seeds are inoculated(coated) for improved nitrogen fixation.
Inoculated Seed: Legume seeds that are inoculated have been treated with beneficial bacteria called rhizobia. These bacteria help the plants fix nitrogen from the air, promoting healthy growth and enriching the soil.
Uncoated Seed: Raw legume seeds, also known as uncoated seeds, have not been treated with rhizobia bacteria. They rely on naturally occurring bacteria in the soil to establish a symbiotic relationship and fix nitrogen.
All seeds counts are approximate.
Sow at 1/4 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft. Just broadcast the seeds, rake lightly, and keep the seed moist until it sprouts. The seed will withstand moderate drought conditions, and grow well, even on barren soil where nothing else wants to grow. Winter-hardy and it stays so low you can just till it under during Spring if you are using it for a cover crop.
Planting Instructions:
Choose a well-draining location with full sun to partial shade.
Prepare the soil by loosening it and removing weeds.
Sow seeds directly outdoors in spring or fall, spreading them evenly over the area.
Lightly rake the soil to cover the seeds, ensuring they are no deeper than 1/8 inch.
Water gently and keep the soil consistently moist until germination occurs in 7-14 days.
Once established, water as needed, particularly during dry periods.
*Seed shipments will be in the mail within one day except weekends and USPS holidays - Orders placed Fri-Sun will ship Monday.
