For finish and after sanding the seat and frame, we use Osmo Polyx Pure Oil to produce a silky finish that highlights the texture of the walnut while providing durable protection from spills and everyday use. COLOR The stool is made of European walnut, lighter than American, and is oiled with walnut oil to have the same shade as all parts of the stool. This stool is not made for excessive humidity. Walnut is a durable and attractive hardwood that is often used to make indoor furniture. When properly treated with a finish, walnut patio furniture can survive the elements for years or even decades. If the wood looks dry or whitish apply any commercial wood oil, better transparent for walnut. When applied the wood will absorb the quantity needed, retire the excess oil with a dry cloth within one hour.
