FRANKLIN MINT "Pieta" Sterling Silver or Bronze~Gold Plated Weighs Approx. 1+ oz. Orig. Package Mint Condition from the Franklin Mint. Gold Plated Bronze Coin 42cm diameter (1-5/8") - Sealed in Original package. Note this particular 1977 item could be Bronze with Gold Plating. (Some indicate Sterling Silver (1973) this one from 1977 could be Bronze, not sure). (Worlds Great Art from Worlds Great Museums) Issue No. 19. Pieta - 1498 - 1499. Michelangelo. St. Peter's Basilica, Rome. This appears to be a rerun from 1977, at a smaller size than the original set from 1973. The coin is much more brilliant than the photos show. Included is a descriptive sheet about Michelangelo's Pieta. I will also include the original receipt from 1979 and mailing envelope.
