Item description
WELCOME!
Antique Ostby and Barton agate ring. The ring has a great Deco Design with a large
16mm x 13mm agate stone with great color.
The stone is firmly set and the ring is in nice condition. I could not pick up the mark with my camera
but it is stamped OB sterling. There is
a small spot on the inside back of the shank.
It is not on the outside and the ring is sturdy. 5.57 grams.
Size 8.5.
Many
collector?s know that Engelhart
Cornelius Ostby is a legend in the jewelry trade. He emigrated from Oslo,
Norway to the US in 1869. After forming his own company with his partner,
Nathan Barton in 1879, they became well known for their high quality and
beautifully made jewelry. Mr. Ostby later perished when the Titanic sunk in
1912. Here is your chance to own a very sought after Ostby Barton ring!
