Item description
Dominion of Canada Coat of Arms Plate
The title ?Dominion of Canada? was first applied to Canada at Confederation in 1867. It was also used to describe other countries in the Commonwealth. The federal government stopped using the word Dominion by the early 1950s. The last hold-over was the term Dominion Day. It was changed to Canada Day in 1982. Today, the word Dominion is seldom used to describe Canada.
Square shape with gold trim and yellowish clear glaze, coat of arms in the center showing the Union Jack.
Circa 1940's
Backstamp:
Royal Winton
Grimwades
England
Measures: 9" X 9"
Condition: Not mint but, close to it! Rated 9 out of 10 due to specks or spots from the manufacturer and a tiny bit of crazing. No chips or pattern loss. See all photos as they are part of the description.
Comes from a smoke and pet free home
