Item description
Mugwort is a fast-growing herb that's predominantly known for combating fatigue. It has other medicinal uses, which are outlined in both the Chinese and Ayurvedic text books of natural medicine. Many use the herb in tea.
Medicinal property actions: Stimulant, tonic, nervine (calming of the nerves), emmenagogue, direuetic, diaphoretic.
Medicinal Parts: Leaves Root
Culinary preparations include raw or cooked mugwort. It's used to season fish, flavor rice and as a soup stock additive. In history, dried mugwort leaves were used to flavor beer much like hops are today. Even today, some add it to alcoholic beverages.
Best yet is, it grows in all soil types, even in heavily rock or gravel-filled soils. It has little to no nutrient needs so you can have your own 6 ft. tall hardy crop of Artemisia without potting soil expenses. ...Look for bountiful buds of aromatic yellow to white flowers popping around September.
Germination instructions: Mugwort seeds require sunlight to germinate. After moistening the ground, lightly press the seeds snugly onto the soil surface in a way that ensures they don't blow away or sink into darkness under the soil when watering. Keep seeds and soil moist. Germination takes up to 21 days.
Enjoy next day handling time and shipping via USPS First Class.
