Circa 1920's Arcade Manufacturing Co. Cast Iron Toy "Roper" Gas Stove!
1868 the Morgan brothers, Charles and Edward started their ventures in business as "Novelty Iron Works" casting various specialty products. In 1885 they reorganized the company as the "Arcade Manufacturing Company". Shortly thereafter they moved to a larger facility in West Freeport, Ill. Charles' design of a coffee mill was patented on October 20, 1891 which would become one of their most recognized household products! In 1908 they launched a line of animal banks and starting in 1909 they added a variety line of toy products that would last through 1933. Arcade believed in producing the best quality products in the market. All of their products were made from the finest materials available and by skilled workmen!
This is a wonderful cast toy "Roper" gas stove dating circa 1920's. It is 5 3/4" wide x 2 5/8" deep x 6 1/8" tall.
