Rare Lenox Bailey, Banks Biddle Co. Philadelphia William Penn Toby Jar
Made between 1918 - 1920
Approximate measurements:
6.25" high x 5.75?? front to handle
Hand painted. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Paint on rim/hat is missing in a small spot - it is not a chip - it appears that it was made this way.
Bottom engraving reads : 448/895 (only visible when seen in the right light/from the side.)
Features William Penn
Indian chief face on the top of the jug handle.
Penn holding a large scroll inscribed with "TREATY", "WILLIAM PENN", and Indian petroglyphs.
Beautiful, rare collectible!
