1910-20s Hollings-Smith Co Medicine Bottle and 50 similar items

This is a vintage pharmacy or medicine bottle embossed, "Hollings- Smith Co Manufacturing Chemists - Orangeburg New York USA". This is an embossed square shaped bottle with tapered edges and cork top. (Cork is missing) Hollins-Smith Co was incorporated in Jersey City, NJ in 1909 as a separate company from its parent company, Bell Co., Inc. The company produced a variety of medicinal products, including many with cannabis as the primary ingredient. Products were touted to cure everything from flatulence to vertigo to alcoholism. This bottle likely dates between 1909 and the 1920s as it is cork topped and embossed. My father, an avid bottle hunter, found this old medicine bottle in the ruins of an old homestead in Virginia more than 40 years ago. It is in good shape with the exception of a crack along the lower back and a chip on the base. (See photos). Clarity is good with embossing remaining sharp.
