Robert David Quixano Henriques (1905-1967), British author who gained modest renown for two-award-winning novels including No Arms, No Honour.
This is the author's last novel which was published posthumously. This autobiographical novel is set during WWII and is informed by the author serving with distinction as an officer in the Royal Artillery, the newly formed Commandos, and finally at headquarters of Combined Operations. Rising to the rank of Colonel, Henriques was awarded the Bronze and Silver Stars for bravery in North Africa and Sicily while attached to U.S. Forces under Patton. (see "Robert Henriques--My Biography" published in 1969.
