Item description
Vintage 8 x 10 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the 1920s sea-faring silent film adventure drama, MORAN OF THE LADY LETTY, released in 1922 by Paramount Pictures and directed by George Melford, in which a milquetoast young man of society toughens up once he's shanghaied and falls for the captain's tomboy daughter.
The image depicts handsome young Ramon Laredo (Rudolph Valentino) having a drink at a seaside tavern as he watches Captain Eilert Sternersen (Charles Brinley) inspecting the contents of his glass. Printed most likely in the 1950s or 1960s, it is in very fine- condition as shown.
