This is one of the CUTEST vintage Easter decorations I have ever come across. It is a large 14" styrofoam Easter Egg, covered with eyelet fabric and vintage trims, decorated with 4 different panoramic scenes, or vignettes. Each is very detailed with miniature Easter bunnies and accessories, in different Easter preparations. The Easter bunnies are crafted from wooden clothespins, and are handpainted. Each is unique. The scenes include Painting Easter Eggs, Making Easter Bonnets, Making Easter Baskets, and Making Easter Treats. Each scene is very detailed with adorable miniatures and accessories, and glitter. It is a large 14" styrofoam Easter Egg, covered with eyelet fabric and vintage trims, decorated with 4 different panoramic scenes, or vignettes. Each is very detailed with miniature Easter bunnies and accessories, in different Easter preparations. The Easter bunnies are crafted from wooden clothespins, and are handpainted. Each is unique. The scenes include: Wooden seamstress bunny is making Easter hats. There are bolts of fabric and ribbon, a filigree bowl with knitting needles, tiny scissors and a mirror. The finished bonnets decorate the wall. A boy bunny is painting Easter eggs. The finished eggs hang on the line to dry. There are flowers, a miniature bird, and a paint bucket. A lady bunny is in her kitchen making Easter treats. She carries a tray with a decorated chocolate Easter egg. A table holds more colorful eggs. There are vintage floral fabric curtains, and kitchen items hanging on the walls or on a shelf. There's even a jar of jelly beans! Boy and girl bunnies are creating Easter baskets. There's a supply of hanging baskets, and a wooden table with a basket in progress. A finished basket sits on the floor. There are even wall pegs with ribbons for bows. The inside of the panoramas are covered with mica-type glitter, and the bunny painting eggs scene is painted sky blue. The egg is covered with yellow eyelet fabric and trimmed with embroidered tulip trims, lace, ric rac, and passemanterie trim. There is a little nosegay of vintage velvet posies at the top. A ring around the bottom helps it stand up. It's about 14" tall, and about 8" wide. The entire piece is in wonderful condition - very clean, no damage, no discoloration - just wonderful! Such a unique piece - so retro! I can only imagine the craftswoman who created it with such loving care and attention to detail! Totally charming! As to age, I am guessing 1960's. My mom was really into projects like these - we had a local Ben Franklin's Five and Dime with a basement full of craft findings like these! It was a wonderfland! From a smoke-free home.
