Brand new factory sealed dvd has both the full screen (1.78:1) and the widescreen version (2.35:1). On older tube TVs you will still have a small black bar at the top and bottom of your square frame on this full screen version. This is the 2-D single disc version and has exclusive online fun features accessed thru the DVD-ROM feature when this disc is inserted in your computer. Would-be inventor Flint Lockwood's (Bill Hader) gadgets tend not to work as planned but he's still hoping to impress his dad by helping the depressed economy of their island home of Swallow Falls by turning water into food. It turns out to be gigantic food that falls from the sky (orange juice showers, mashed potato snow...) that has the mayor changing the town's name to Chew and Swallow and making it a tourist destination. But it isn't as much fun as you might think (and quite messy) when the machine takes a turn for the worse, unleashing spaghetti tornadoes and giant meatballs that threaten the world! Now it's up to Flint, with the help of weather girl Sam Sparks (Anna Faris) and Steve, his talking monkey assistant, to find some way to shut down the machine before the world is covered in super-sized meatballs!
