Item description
50 Seeds Festuca Fescue Blue Oramental Grass Perennial Flower
These plants seem to prefer neglect so easy to grow. Perennial zones 4-7. These ornamental, clump growing, shade tolerant grasses are excellent for the front of the border, and the blue-green color compliments colorful ornamental. A low maintenance ground cover can be created by using these ornamental grasses. The waxy leaf covering reduces transpiration so the blue fescue plant can survive extended droughts and the stress of a drought only deepens the color. It is one of the shortest ornamental grasses available with the foliage not exceeding 10-12 inches. It has good winter color staying green during the cold, cold months. They like full sun, but are also shade tolerant, often growing in the dry shade of trees. Can be started indoors in winter to be transplanted outdoors in spring or can be sown directly into the ground in spring, summer and fall.
