Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin join the cast as the characters' new targets. Filming began in July 2006 in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, based on a script by Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The film was screened as an Out of Competition presentation at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, and was released on June 8, 2007 in the United States. The film was well-received and grossed $311 million worldwide, making it the sixteenth-highest-grossing film of 2007.
