Square frames are formed and hammered by hand to strengthen and flatten the ends. Small stone beads are carefully woven between the the frames along two opposing corners. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny.
