Item description

A vintage Anti Frank Lorenzo pin back button for Eastern Airlines: I walked the Line at Eastern. The year was 1991, 62-year old Eastern Airlines who once dominated the routes between the Northeast and the sun shut, 190 planes parked. But the strikers rejoiced. Founded in 1928, Eastern was led until 1963 by Capt. Eddie Rickenbackers, the World War I flying ace. In 1975, Frank Borman, a former astronaut, became the airline's president. In 1986, after Texas Air (now known as Continental Airlines Holdings, Inc.) and Mr. Lorenzo acquired Eastern, the alliance between labor and its three unions achieved in 1984 unraveled and the labor relations rapidly deteriorated. And what started as a strike became like a crusade that inflicted great damage to Eastern. Measures 2-1/2" diameter. In excellent condition. Shipping is $3.95 to anywhere in the USA . International rates apply. More pin back collectibles in this store!
