Item description
Vintage Cottage Ware "OCCUPIED JAPAN" Tea Set collectible.
Tea Set with tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl.
Vintage theme with a vividly colored finish that is in great condition.
Bottom of each piece is Hallmarked in black "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN".
Manufactured after WWII in "Occupied Japan" in the mid 40's to early 50's. This set is 60 to 70 years old.
The teapot measures 6 3/4" side to side, 4 1/8" base and 4 5/8" tall to top of lid. Please picture #4 the top inside of pot has a small chip inside but does not show when the lid is on. Also you see a small speck of white on the spout.
Very nice condition! No cracks, crazing or repairs. Does have a manufacture imperfection. See picture #9 on the handle the white speck is missing a little paint. It is under the glaze.
and only very, very light crazing inside consistent with age.
Would make a valued "Occupied Japan" collector's item.
