They were produced in the mid 50s by Max Eckardt and Sons, New York. The balls all have wear, paint loss in spots, scratches from use. They measure approximately 2 1/4 inches each. The cardboard sleeves do have some wear and foxing. There are places on each sleeve that look like either a price, or name was covered over with black marker. The ornaments can be displayed in such a way that you would not really notice this. The patent numbers on the cardboard sleeves refer to the box and are US Patent Nos 2717115; 2717116; 2775391. The carton was created by Alford Cartons. When properly packaged they will ship at a two pound rate.
